Introduction
Improvement of organizational outcomes is based on effective strategies. A brainstorming session is necessary to explore different strategies in the organization through applied research that can fulfil the needs of the target group (employees) and boost up the organizational performance (Card, 2015). This report aims at the construction of an applied research strategy for the workplace.
Discussion in the organization
Through the observation, it can be identified that most of the employees feel demotivated and find failure to work effectively. To promote effective productivity and enhance the workplace outcomes, different strategies are needed to be communicated (Temminck, Mearns & Fruhen, 2015). To explore better ideas and thought, a discussion with seniors, supervisors and colleagues is necessary that can promote effective outcome. The target group for the applied research will be internal employees of the organization. The purpose of the applied research is to analyze the effective motivational strategies that can promote organizational performance.
Evidence of consultation
Date of the meeting: 5th May 2020 at 3:00 pm
Points discussed in the session:
The need for motivational strategies
Application of motivational strategies
Achievement of higher productivity
Improvement in organizational outcomes
One of the most effective strategies identified for the motivation of employees is incentives and positive environment in the organization. Through motivation, better organizational outcomes can be identified that can enhance organizational productivity (Xiong & King, 2015).
Research ethics and codes of conduct
This research is based on the individual rights of the employees and no harm is provided to any of the employees. A positive environment is identified as a need for employees that can enhance their participation and promotes effective practices (Temminck, Mearns & Fruhen, 2015). All the required policies and procedures of applied research are fulfilled by the researcher to maintain integrity and trustworthiness in the organization.
Applied research methods, theories and data collection techniques
Different applied research methods are behavioural observation, motion analysis, hazard analysis, surveys, interviews and standard analysis (Card, 2015). This research is based on behavioural observation and standard analysis that provides an opportunity to look at the organizational performance. Applied research follows a practical approach that fulfils the needs of management theory (Brown, 2015; Card, 2015). This research is based on the management theory to promote motivational strategies for better performance of employees. The required data about the employees is collected through managers and assistant managers.
Reliability and validity of data
The information of employees and their performance is gathered from the managers that promote validity and reliability. Behavioural factors of the employees can affect the data that can impact the research outcomes (Brown, 2015). Hypothesis for the research are identified as:
H0: Incentives and positive environment promote employee's performance.
H1: Incentives and positive environment do not affect the employee's performance.
Available tools and resources
Quantitative and qualitative data is used for research that promotes an understanding of the required solutions. The research problem is based on the specific problem of the organization that requires an effective solution to enhance organizational performance. Employee's job roles and standard performance results are analyzed including the feedback from the manager of 20 employees. It helps to evaluate the performance data and improvement strategies (Card, 2015).
Conclusion
It can be concluded that applied research in the organization is based on the effective performance improvement that requires motivational strategies for the employees. The hypothesis of the research provides the relationship between the independent and dependent variable. Reliable and valid data is gained from the managers to seek for effective outcomes.
Introduction
Applied research techniques include behavioural observation, motion analysis, hazard analysis, surveys, interviews and standard analysis (Bailey & Burch, 2017). This research is based on behaviour observation and standard analysis to maintain quantitative and qualitative research techniques. This report aims at analyzing different applied research techniques and their use in the research.
Data collection
Observation and employee’s data from the organizational reports are used for the applied research. It helps to promote an effective understanding to enhance employee’s performance and maintain different ways to motivate them (Osabiya, 2015). Document analysis is the major tool for the research to compare the standard performance and the real-time performance of the employees. Research is carried out in a standard way to explore motivational strategies such as incentives and positive environment in the organization. Behaviour and attitude of the employees are based on the organizational environment and culture (Xiong & King, 2015).
Analysis of data
Comparison of the data through histogram is used for the research to analyze the performance of employees. Involvement of motivational strategies can enhance the performance of employees in the organization and helps them to improve their productivity. Data analysis helps to understand the problem and present information in an efficient manner (Osabiya, 2015).
Relevance of research
Development of knowledge and a field of study includes the major purpose of the research. Through defined knowledge and application of a theory, relevant approaches are used. It promotes applied research as an effective and influensive decision-making tool (Bailey & Burch, 2017). Accurate data of the employees and their confidentiality promotes reliable research. A need for motivation increases awareness for the effective participation of employees (Osabiya, 2015).
Review of research
This research is based on the reliable and accurate data of the employees in the organization. To propose an effective solution for the improvement of productivity, motivation is considered as most effective that can promote better productivity and leads to organizational improvements (Xiong & King, 2015). Legal requirements of the research are fulfilled with the originally applied research strategy.
Conclusion
It can be concluded that appropriate sources of information and relevant research promotes the required output that can enhance organizational effectiveness. Motivational strategies are necessary for the employees to maintain their performance. Standard analysis and behavioural observation are used for data collection and analysis that applies to the original research strategy.
