The lights will be switched off at night and all the members need to switch off the light after leaving the office. Best practice model that needs to be added in the organisation. The best sustainability practice in the business is the water and electricity conservation as per the case study perspective as it is really important for the organisation. The need for electricity saving is really important in an organisation because the amount of electricity is being wasted is increasing and the organisation needs to take crucial steps to stop it. The shortfalls in existing policies that the employees on unaware of a switch on and switch off of air conditioners and using the non-dual flush capability of toilets. The organisation is planning to increase its staff to provide the services.

Revised New Policy and Procedure

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that employees are maintaining the susceptibility concept and follow all the necessary steps. Sustainability concept not only helps the organisation to save a lot of money also save the non-renewable resources.

Policy

The main aim of this policy is to ensure that the sustainability concept is going properly in the organisation. All the employees in the organisation need to follow the sustainability policy that includes various steps such as the organisation will ensure that the air conditioning services in the head office will only be active on normal business hours. The members of the organisation are responsible to turn off of the air conditioners while leaving the office. If anyone is not following this procedure and policies then strict actions will be taken.

Procedure

The main aim of this policy is to ensure that the sustainability concept is followed by the organisation and therefore various changes need to be done in order to make everyone aware of this concept (Ochoa, Lepeley & Essens, 2018). All the members of the organisation are responsible to switch off the light and fans while they are leaving the company. The organisation with sorting of recyclable paper from general rubbish and encouraging staff to use dual flush capabilities of toilets.

Implementation Plan

In order to implement this policy, all the members of the organisation were informed this information through mails and it's important to acknowledge this mail after reading the entire document all the managers and staff members are responsible to manage the implementation of this policy. All the managers of the organisation need to take a meeting with each teammate and make them aware of this policy procedure and explain all the steps that need to be followed by employees. All the members of the organisation need to switch off the lights, and air conditioner after leaving the office and use the required amount of paper without wasting much. Each employer needs to acknowledge the importance of the sustainability concept and use recyclable paper from general rubbish (Lemmetty & Collin, 2020). To apply the improvement process the organisation is appointing the internal as well as external staff to overview this process. All the members of the organisation are responsible to channelize this activity properly and strict action will be taken if the implementation of this policy is not up to the mark.

Task 2: Sustainability Policy

Introduction to Sustainability Policy

This study will focus on the sustainability policy of a restaurant. For a restaurant, it is very important to be sustainable because it does not only save a lot of money but it also highlights the organisation image in front of customers (Lo, King, & Mackenzie, 2017). As part of the sustainability process, the waste management system of the organisation adopts sustainable approach as organisations adopt different strategies to manage the waste. The organisation is using a sufficient amount of raw materials rather than using it immensely. However, the organisation also employs life cycle management approaches in order to enhance the services. The organisation adopt sustainable concept is to cut down on waste (Kotejoshyer, Zhang, Flum, Fleishman & Punnett, 2019). It will manage the waste such as food waste, electricity wastewater waste etc. The purpose of this policy is to make each and every member of aware of Sustainable approaches in the organisation and adopt different strategies to make a sustainable environment in the organisation. Every member needs to follow the policy of sustainability and adopt its type that can effectively implement the policy.

Communicating Policy to Stakeholders

This policy is communicated through emails to each and every employee of the organisation. The organisation will inform all the members do read this policy and acknowledge the policy after the understanding the policy. The stakeholders will directly be communicated to the managers and acknowledge the policy. The managers and the team leader will take meetings with the employees and make them understand the importance of this policy and the expected outcomes from this policy. This policy not only helps to enhance the services but it also saves a lot of money which is wasted unnecessarily (Higgins-Desbiolles, & Wijesinghe, 2018). The waste is the biggest problem in the restaurant however the leftover food is distributed to the needy ones while the cut down of waste from the vegetables and other raw materials will be disposed of in soil so that it helps to grow plants. The external stakeholders will meet up with the managers and the supply of raw materials from the dealers will be on exact quantity there will be no wastage because the raw materials can get degraded if it kept for a longer duration. If any employee is not able to understand the policy then the team leader and the manager will go through all the requirements that need to be added in the policy.

Policy Implementation

This policy is implemented in the organisation as all the members of the organisation used to proactively participate in maintaining a sustainable concept. The plan-do-check-act toll will be adopted by the organisation in order to make continuous improvement in the policy. This following not only helps to create innovative ideas but also help to maintain the working and eradicate the issues in business (Higgins-Desbiolles, Moskwa & Wijesinghe, 2019). The managers and team leaders will coordinate with the new team members and take recommendation from them so that the issues and challenges will be eradicated on the initial stage. The discussion will be held with the teammates so that the organisation can ensure to implement the improvements that needed in the organization. Every member of the organisation needs to play proactively as it helps in implementing the policy appropriately.
